Perfect Home Furniture has been a proud member of the Canadian home furnishings industry for over 60 years as a manufacturer, a distributor, and now as a retailer. Our current-day strengths as a retailer have been built upon by a foundation of knowledge gained as a manufacturer and a supplier to many of the established retail brand name stores across the country. Perfect Home is proud to offer a wide selection of home furnishings built by Canadians for Canadians. Helping support our local and Canadian economies is an important part of our business. We have built long-term and lasting relationships with factories located across the country to ensure that we help represent Canada’s strengths in the industry. Our offerings of solid wood, Canadian made bedroom and dining furniture span the country, as does our support of the leading Canadian upholstery companies. Perfect Home also offers, in many cases, exclusive product lines from leading US manufacturers that allows us to be retail leaders in offering the best local value in home furnishings. Our mission to provide our customers with the best quality at the best price stems from years as manufacturers determined to offer the style and design of high-end brands, but manufactured to hit the aggressive pricing points that appeal to hardworking Canadians without sacrificing any of the quality. The manufacturing arm of Perfect Home Furniture, known as Palethorpe & Dowling Ltd., began humbly in postwar British Columbia as a manufacturer and finisher of low-cost bedroom furniture. For over 50 years and three generations, Palethorpe & Dowling designed and manufactured bedroom furniture for all of the top Canadian furniture retailers, as well as the local Mom & Pop retailers dotted across the country.

Proud supporters of the independent retailer, Perfect Home Furniture spent the early 1980’s creating and expanding upon their success as a Canadian manufacturer by developing a comprehensive import and distribution program. Our experience as a manufacturer allows us to navigate the global sourcing markets to ensure that the products we bring to our customers are built to our specifications and designed not only with style and look in mind, but with the quality needed to survive the rigors of everyday life.
